When did you decide you wanted to become a chef?
When I was a student at Detroit Public School's Hally Middle School, I presented a project on a career as a chef for my career day project. But I loved to cook even before that, ever since I was a little kid.
What's your food philosophy?
You've got to have passion to be a chef! You have to have a real love for creating good food as well as eating good food. If your heart's not in your cooking, it will definitely show!
What made you decide to invest in a food trailer?
I wanted a mobile way to provide great food and great service to the community.
You have a degree from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New York. You could have been a chef anywhere. What made you return to Detroit?
I love my city! I wanted to take everything I learned in New York and bring it back to my home, my roots. I hope to encourage and inspire
someone coming up after me. It's never too late to follow your dream!
